Here's what we believe in.
Anti-fragility: The concept that the human body, unlike machines or inanimate objects, is not inherently fragile. Rather, we can actually grow stronger and healthier over time when we take good care of ourselves and learn how to apply controlled stress (challenges, resistance, etc.) over time. Not at all like a machine that is never as good as it was when it was brand new, we can regenerate and actually become better versions of ourselves. So freaking awesome!!!

Graded Exercise: This is how we build strength most effectively. Start with a simple version of an exercise or movement, and progress through to more challenging versions as your body is ready. This is really great, not only because it helps us build strength effectively, but also because the best warm-up for an exercise is an easier version of that same movement. Win-wins are the best.

Building a Therapeutic Alliance: AKA, I don't have all the answers. I have my expertise in teaching movement, and you have your expertise in living and moving in your body. We each have half of the answers here. Let's work together to find what works and feels right for you, and bring you closer to your goals! I will not try to force your body into a shape that feels miserable in the interest of aesthetics. I promise.
